Earlier this month, I published Your Resume's 4 Audiences (http://recareered.blogspot.com/2010/05/your-resumes-4-audiences-best-of.html), describing each of the audiences for your resume.
Each of these audiences are involved in the hiring decision process for most companies. These audiences serve to pre-screen and to provide buy-in for potential employees. One of the most critical (and most often overlooked) audiences is the hiring managers boss, team and peers - the 4th audience.
